* 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine * 4 Fuji apples (or other firm, tart apples), cored and cut into wedges (skin can be removed if it seems tough) * 1/2 cup sugar * 1/2 cup water * 2 Tbsp. Sun Luck White Sesame Seeds

In large skillet over medium high heat, melt butter. Add apple wedges and quickly saute, 1 to 2 minutes.
*~ With slotted spoon, remove apples and set aside. Reduce heat to medium and add sugar and water. *~ Using wooden spoon, stir continuously until mixture is a pale golden color.
*~ Remove pan from heat, add sesame seeds and continue stirring until sauce is a deep golden color and no longer bubbling.
*~ To serve, spoon apple wedges over angel food cake, pound cake or vanilla ice cream and drizzle with Sesame Toffee Sauce.
*~ Makes 8 servings.
